This Is AvaPosted by {H} creatives (San Francisco Bay Area, United States) on 3 June 2007 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. First of all, I wanted to thank everyone's kind comments from within as well as outside of the AM3 global community that I have received so far. It is truly much appreciated. I wanted to continue the theme of the "passion guy" singing as "JP" suggested from my last post, but decided to go with this one instead and maybe come back at a later time with another shot of the "passion guy". I was in the Santa Cruz Boardwalk again this past Saturday with my daughter and was resting on the bench after a few hours of non-stop rides on the "Merry-Go-Round." B-) As I sat, I caught this loving moment as Daddy was just placing a soft kiss on the head, and the baby just so happen to look at the camera, giving me a generous angelic smile behind those cute little fingers. I asked for her name afterwards along with an e-mail address and offered to send (or delete) the picture. He generously decided to let me keep the memories and we parted without any where for me to send this picture to, so I wanted to share this to all of my friends here at AM3. Hope you enjoy the moment as much as I did capturing it. Cheers....{H} [p.s. I could never have fathomed what unconditional love truly is if I didn't have my daughter - so, this one is dedicated to you and to the love of your life]

I'm not sure I would have attempted it. Sounds like you did the appropriate thing offering to send Dad a photo or to delete the image. I don't think I'd try to take a shot with children unless I knew the parents or had permission beforehand. It's a dilemma. It's harder to get a candid shot when people know they're being photographed. On the other hand, I've had some hostile reactions to my photo taking even when no people are involved at all. I take it that at least some of the people in your other photos are also strangers. Have you had any problems? Generally, when I take photos, even when they include people, I do so openly and obviously. Most of the time people seem to assume that my purpose is "legitimate." 18 Jun 2007 4:30pm Line from Chambly, QC, CanadaBeautiful capture. I love this picture for emotion tenderness. 20 Jun 2007 11:15am |
