Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments. Forgive me for not returning your visit as quickly as I would like to - but you can be assured I will, as collectively all of you fuel inspiration and creativity in return. Thanks a bunch! B-)
This is the 5th installment of the "Two Shall Become One" series. This set is dedicated to a friend who just joined AM3, Wendy Tsang. As forementioned Wendy is a pro, unlike me who earns my living through Corporate America, and still dreaming to become a "pro" [someday]. But your comments have encouraged me much that I may just take a leap of faith here soon and dive into the pro world of photography....lol [I guess it's not that easy]. I do appreciate tips from all of you out there who have gone before me. B-) So essentially, this is the place for me to get good critiques from all of you, technically or otherwise - and they are most welcomed.
Similar to the last post, this one was taken several years ago during Wendy's wedding in Pinole, California, as she was about to enter the limousine. The official photographer, the one in the foreground that I used to frame this picture, was looking for Wendy's hubby because they were going to do a short photo session here as they enter into the limo. Caught this moment while Wendy candidly looked around for the hubby, using the limo as a leverage for height. Unconventional, I would say for a wedding picture - not sure if it would make it to any album. B-) But Wendy's just so lovely, in the midst of all this, she still manages a beautiful smile. Love the sparkle in her eyes, don't you?
Thanks again to all who have visited this p-blog, and to continue being my source of creativity and inspiration! I'll drop by soon. Cheers...
Now this one is glowing. Such a fine way to show happiness! Great shot, H!

Her happiness is so evident - you have a wonderful sense of just when to take that very special shot - great job. I think you will do extremely well in the "pro" world - I think you are ready. Fill your portfolio with the images you have posted on this site and you will be well on your way!
27 Jun 2007 5:29am
The light really shines on her! Superb.
27 Jun 2007 6:49am
{H} corporate America is blessed to have someone with your vision and creative talent working for them, instead of them for you. As for Wendy's picture, with her tiara like a crown, and her inner joy spilling out for all to see, you have captured the image of a queen. This is a special photo.
27 Jun 2007 6:53am
Beautiful B&W contrast. Brilliant!
27 Jun 2007 8:04am
another startling portrait. Love the lighting.
27 Jun 2007 8:08am
You've captured her happiness so well.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and your encouragement. Since you asked...its a boring conference on the structural biology of AIDS related proteins(or something like that!).
27 Jun 2007 8:47am
You've caught a wonderful moment that conveys the happiness inherent in this important ceremony. Very well done.
27 Jun 2007 9:37am
Go Pro! Go Pro! (That's just my 2 cents). But I think you have a great collection and a good shot at making a little business here.
Thanks for stopping by the old blog. It always good seeing a familiar face.
You really can't go wrong with this series of photos. How beautiful does she look (and you've captured the moment just as well) :) Great job.

27 Jun 2007 10:28am
This shot didn't need a title because you captured the moment so perfectly that I could tell that she was looking for her groom. Another one for the portfolio!!!

27 Jun 2007 3:26pm

You have really captured her glow. As always a beautiful photo.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments. I don't have half the talent as you when it comes to taking photos, but I'm learning (I think) and I enjoy all the feedback...it's been very helpful.

28 Jun 2007 12:50am
i've always preffered the informal wedding shot to those highly polished pro efforts, so i like this!
28 Jun 2007 3:06am
candid shots always show the true side of a person rather than those posed studio ones (: natural shots are the way to go! haha.
28 Jun 2007 5:11am
I agree with Lina who said that "Unconventional wedding picture are always the best ones." The candid shots are often the ones we like the best, as I'm guessing Wendy concurs!
28 Jun 2007 6:31am

Sometimes words don't have capacity to describe something; if one wants to find a confirmation for this statement, can watch this shot. Perfect, Perfect, Perfect.
28 Jun 2007 3:26pm
A nice expression.
28 Jun 2007 4:05pm
Tena koe ehoa Shes a beautiful bride and some man is very lucky. Not a real fan of the obscuring and black overlay in the left bottom foreground.

30 Jun 2007 7:14am
These sets of photos from you lately are a very different feel. Which is impressive. Would agree with Pedro for some photos. This title is so funny... Hubby is sometimes used to tease friend's boyfriends.. Haha I find it hilarious. Good work here though.. This site is a site not to be missed as I said your style is different but impressive. Haha popular too!! Look at the amount of comments! Takes me hours to scroll down to post a comment (exaggeration!)
30 Jun 2007 9:47am
