Hello, Inspiration Circle! Now I know why the likes of Shuva, Jason, and Aaron rarely reply to all of their comments especially after passing their 500+ post 'cuz it does take much time...lol. Please be assured that I do appreciate every feedback and critiques and though I may not be able to answer every single comment, I will be revisiting every one of your p-blogs in return!
This is the 10th installment of the "Two Shall Become One" series - this one taken from the wedding of dear friends, Yeny and Ethan. A comment from fellow p-blogger Babul Bhatt on my last post made me think [ thanks, pal! I rarely get a chance to think anymore these days...lol ]. He said, "Two should never try to become One...they should rather remain like two people living together and always compromising rather than deciding to become one". To all of you married friends out there, I'm sure you can attest that it isn't easy for two people from two different backgrounds to become one - and that there's some truth to Babul's statement. I heard from some wise person once that marriage is not 50/50, but rather 150/150 - both sides giving 150% , that is. And often times, it does involve compromises - or to put it more succinctly, "sacrifices" - even if you have to let the woman lead [ translation = "be right" ] once in a while...'cuz most of the time she is...LOL. This is the mystery that I'm still challenged with every day of my marriage life. B-)
So this one is dedicated to all of you married couples out there!
The next post will continue the series but I'll "diversify" even further. [ Thanks to eydryan's encouragement on this post ]
I'll "see you" in you p-blogs soon! Cheers, friends! B-)
Your description forcing me to think...so much is hidden in these words...

Another great shot, and you're right, a good blog does require some time, especially if one wants to respond to all the visitors.

lovely angle with the bride leading the train - captured beautifully. Regarding marriages, I have to add that I have never agreed with the word "sacrifice" in a marriage - to explain the reason would take a longer post :)

hey {H}--as a wise and sometimes crafty boyo--this marriage malarky is really simple-I've learned over the years that you have to take the lead as a man otherwise anarchy sets in--oh no!! the wife's watching and she's seen this posting--oh no!!- now I'm in trouble--she's sent me to the naughty corner--see you when I'm allowed out--billy

Incredible capture! Nice one pal! :)

These are a lovely collection of wedding photos.
I've been married coming up on 23 years...wow...that sounds like forever doesn't it? Sometimes it's 50/50, other times it's 60/40, but it is more often than not 100/100. Ebbs and flows, but if you keep sight of the common ground and the foundation upon which you built your marriage, that is what keeps you going.

Hard to say more - the brilliant B&W wedding series continues maintaining the high standard.

haha this is an unusual wedding shot. very lovely. and to Babul Bhatt, i don't think is this Chijmes? doesn;t really look like it ;) but yeah you're right about the compromising thing. nothing ever works if it's one way!
8 Jul 2007 5:17am
Great shot! He is already bowing his head. This may turn out 50/150!
8 Jul 2007 6:15am
You are really a master at capturing special moments. Great one again!
8 Jul 2007 6:24am
So candid and full of energy! Superb.
8 Jul 2007 6:37am
Your friend is wise, H. It is indeed good to be in a relationship where two people are on the same wavelength most of the time but it's totally impossible for two different people to "be one" all the time. And what fun would THAT be anyway? Do I want Donica to be exactly like me? Not on your life. It's our differences that makes us grow into better people!
I'm really enjoying your series, H, and the thought you've put into your commentary!
8 Jul 2007 8:24am
Again, your ability to capture the true joy that was experienced during their special day is a true gift!
8 Jul 2007 8:44am
realy fantastic
8 Jul 2007 8:45am
This kind of shot brings a smile to the viewer instantly. So happy and fun.
8 Jul 2007 9:05am
After the emotions, the funny time ! Very dynamic composition and good b&w.
Lovely shot! Women always lead - we just let you think that you are leading! Haha! But it is really true - it is impossible for two individuals to become truly one. Each is unique and that is what you like about the person and that is what makes the relationship a relationship.
8 Jul 2007 9:39am
Another fine shot. The abundance of comment on your work is a fine compliment. I think most bloggers would understand that some point is finally reached where there is insufficient time to comment on everyone. This continues to be an excellent series.

This is an A+ piciture. She's posing well, you even caught the whole conga line behind her! Its amazing. :) Happy Sunday to you as well!
8 Jul 2007 10:15am
Good timing here. And you have another element that deepens a photo: the entirety of the image cannot be taken in a quick glance; one must pause for a moment and consider what is taking place in the background; in other words, something is revealed after the first glance. I also think B&W is a good choice for this image.
8 Jul 2007 11:11am
Very, very beautiful! Her pose and her smile says more than a thousand words..
8 Jul 2007 11:30am
lovely.
8 Jul 2007 12:33pm
That's a nice one of them! You captured the movement , angle, and moment well here! Yeah, treasure island was very windy. I brought the weak tripod and it's still shaky. It's hard and only a few were good. Hopefully, we can be more prepared next time =)
8 Jul 2007 1:33pm
Good angle and super pose, I like the expressions on the couple, and the processing
8 Jul 2007 1:41pm

8 Jul 2007 3:00pm
Tena koe ehoa The vignette adds a great focalising asset to the image and the brides extended arm as she laeds this procession.
8 Jul 2007 3:55pm
