2 is 1 - The MansionPosted by {H} creatives (San Francisco Bay Area, United States) on 11 July 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio. Hello, Inspiration Circle! As always, thank you for each one of your comments, critiques and feedback - I do read, appreciate, and take each one to heart. I decided to post a few more wedding pics due to prompting from fellow p-bloggers from Singapore, Anthony [this one's for you, pal! - Thx!] and tyan and from Atlanta, Ginnie. Hope the rest of you guys aren't bored because all of you have been so instrumental in fine tuning my portfolio and I really need your feedback on a few more wedding pics - maybe less the couples, more of the environment...and this time in post-processing that I coined "over-saturated sepia." B-) This is a mansion in the Bay Area that is now used primarily for event functions such as weddings. Another couple friend got married there same day that my wife and I got married, except 6 years later - on June 3rd last year. So this one is for Felix and Priscilla! I promise that I shall revisit your p-blogs in return, and thanks again for your support, comments, and critiques as I dream of becoming a "pro"! B-) 'Til then, Cheers! B-)

haole kokua from Pearl City, United Statesit's been kind of a weird day... i don't really know why or how, just kind of unusual. and seeing this photograph is a perfect addition to my surreal-feeling day. (not to mention today is currently your yesterday, from where i am.) but thanks for your comment, and for being a part of my crazy tuesday! your other photos are fantastic as well! 11 Jul 2007 8:01am ling from KL, MalaysiaI love love love this shot. This will make a very good finale picture in a wedding album. It's sort of like telling you that it is a happy ending to a wonderful wedding day. Amazing shot. keep it up. Sorry I haven't been dropping by. Was kinda busy lately, looking for a new place to stay. :) 11 Jul 2007 8:14am ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, Netherlandsvery nice angle and processing, well done H. 11 Jul 2007 9:03am tengtan from Melbourne, AustraliaThe backlighting has produced a remarkable haloed effect giving much impact to the significance of this "temple" of human bonding. 11 Jul 2007 9:06am HorseRotorVator from Newton, United StatesWooHoo, this looks fantastic! I love the way you shoot things at angles and they come out perfect! :) 11 Jul 2007 9:29am Ginnie from Atlanta, GA, United StatesThis has a lot of symbolism, H, because of the light from the background pouring in on this wedding place. It's like the Universe is welcoming this new couple. 11 Jul 2007 10:09am Scene by Sharon from CanadaVery intresting processing and angle - really like it. I agree with Ling in its placement in an album could be very effective. Nicely done and extremely creative! 11 Jul 2007 10:12am david from chesham, United Kingdomcertainly is a n interesing shot - i love the sky particularly! 11 Jul 2007 11:07am Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesWhat comes to mind here? Fiery passion -- perhaps the couple's love for one another shining out? A very imaginative approach to wedding pics; certainly outside the box and beautiful. 11 Jul 2007 11:23am Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesLove the angle and the over saturation...nicely done 11 Jul 2007 11:32am Bron from Canberra, AustraliaNice new direction {H} I love the shiny/matt foreground! 11 Jul 2007 11:41am Bob Israel from Brookfield, WI, United StatesVery unique perspective and lighting make this picture a winner! 11 Jul 2007 12:51pm Anthony from Singapore, SingaporeWoh.. superb... give ppl the feeling that something great is coming...from the house... 11 Jul 2007 1:27pm SGP from Atlanta, United StatesIt's like the building is singing up to the heavens. Very nice. 11 Jul 2007 2:13pm Shailja from Boston, United Stateswow - what an angle! cool shot - though I wish I could see the two people more clearly because they do give more meaning to this shot. Otherwise, its a great capture! 11 Jul 2007 2:49pm travelingrant from Kanazawa, JapanHmm. Well. I love the shot, BUT, I think it would work better either in B/W or, in regular color. Perhaps even over saturated a bit. To me, the sepia is a bit of a jarring change, especially after all the more standard b/w pics. The composition and subject are great though! 11 Jul 2007 3:14pm Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United StatesAt first glance this looked very creepy to me but the more I looked at it the more I see the thought you wanted to to come across. I think that because it is different from your other shots it just took me a moment. 11 Jul 2007 3:20pm Bahar from Toronto, Canadavery dynamic shot! the color, lighting and the angle all work well together, excellent processing! 11 Jul 2007 3:35pm Alfredo J. It's spectacular. Everything is perfect. 11 Jul 2007 5:08pm Ming from Petaling Jaya, MalaysiaWow! A good starter for a coloured one! It's like a blast in the picture! Great use duo-tones . Watch your highlight,a fill-in flash would have helped or bracketing and combine in your post-processing . well done. 12 Jul 2007 10:47pm L.Reis from Lisbon, PortugalThe aura provides a sense of irreality to the picture and the angle does the rest.
