2 is 1 - The Embrace

Hello, Inspiration Circle!

Thank you for each one of your comments! All of you continue to help me in fine tuning my understanding of this craft we call photography! B-)

One of the comments that struck me is from a fellow p-blogger, Sharon (Thanks, Sharon, for your continuing and frequent encouragements). Sharon pointed out that the last few posts of The Mansion, and The Aisle and The Altar were devoid of the couple, and hence may not have properly facilitated a smoother transition to the "encore" of wedding pics from the previous b/w wedding pic series.

So, due to the prompting, for today I decided to post this photo which taken during Felix and Priscilla's first dance (so this one's for you, Sharon!). As you can see, the focus of all places is on Felix's tuxedo tie...lol...but this "encore" series is meant to be a bit of experimentation for me. I wanted to soften the rest of the pics to highlight the mood, especially Priscilla's facial expression which to me speaks of a seemingly precious time of serenity in what was a hectic - albeit memorable - day, as any wedding day would be. She found that moment of solace in this embrace. B-)

Not sure if this captured the "romantic mood" that Anthony encouraged me to try on my last post [how do you think I did, brah?]

I also tried to use natural framing to capture the true atmosphere of the moment. That light colored "thing" on the left is a part of a bouquet in the ballroom, and that was someone's shoulder on the lower right, if I remember properly.

All of you AM3 friends are such a great audience that prompt me to think critically, in essence this p-blog has become a "photographic think tank", sort of speak, for me - not just an "inspiration circle." There is much to be learned out there, so I truly appreciate the words of those who have gone before me. B-) Feel free to comment.
