2 is 1 - The Mansion & The MoonPosted by {H} creatives (San Francisco Bay Area, United States) on 19 July 2007 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. Hello, Inspiration Circle! Thanks as always for each one of your feedback, critiques and comments - I am especially grateful for the inspiration that I received in return as I re-visited your p-blogs! B-) This continues the series of sepia experimentation along the lines of The Mansion, The Aisle and The Altar, The Embrace, and The Menu. Taken at the end towards Felix and Priscilla's wedding, this shot was captured right outside the "ballroom dance floor" as the bride, groom and guests were finishing up their dancing - and when I was taking a breath of fresh air. I had to squat on the floor on this one...lol...and use my own self as a human tripod. B-) Oh, and this one's dedicated to a fellow p-blogger, Helgi (simply because her handle is "themoon.aminus3.com"). Thanks as always for the time you all take to visit...I'll "see" you on your p-blog soon! 'Til then...Cheers!

Ekker from NA, MalaysiaThis is a lovely pic :D It reminds me of re-enactment of scenes whereby you go back to the past. Haunting but wonderful! 19 Jul 2007 7:13am ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, NetherlandsExcelent night shot and good processing... very inspiring ! 19 Jul 2007 7:29am ally! from Singapore, Singaporei think it would've looked even more mysterious and lovely if the only sources of light were the moon and the lights in the house. :D haha. but this is cool too (: 19 Jul 2007 7:54am tyan from Singapore, Singaporei like the lighting from the mansion and oh the moon!I must show this to Caleb,he just loves the moon.:) 19 Jul 2007 7:55am tengtan from Melbourne, AustraliaInteresting experiment which presents the unusual wideangle perspective and the impressive play of light and shade. 19 Jul 2007 8:11am Ian Bramham from Manchester, United KingdomThe balance is great between the angle and position of the building and the position of the moon in the image. As the others have said the moon is what makes the shot special - I just love the way those clouds in front of the moon add to it. 19 Jul 2007 8:12am Ginnie from Atlanta, GA, United StatesIt certainly has the feel of the night winding down, H. At first I had wished there were dancers to be seen in the windows, but now it's time to stop. Glad you caught this on your break. :) 19 Jul 2007 8:25am Veerendra from Pune, IndiaNice pic .. 19 Jul 2007 9:02am Gonçalo from Lisboa, PortugalThis is a hard shot to take given the circumstances. A 1/2 second night shot is hard not to get blurry, and here you did a fabulous job! The lights and the moon are great! There were no wherewolves on the loose right?:)) 19 Jul 2007 9:07am HorseRotorVator from Newton, United StatesDo you have a pact with the camera Gods or what! Whatever you touch turns out perfect. Should have been a low light! Super work! 19 Jul 2007 12:48pm travelingrant from Kanazawa, JapanWow, tricky exposure. I do a lot of 'human tripod' work because of sheer laziness in not carrying my tripod all the time, so I well know how tricky it can be sometimes. Good work! 19 Jul 2007 1:54pm don from spokane, United StatesAnother winner under difficult conditions. Nice shooting. 19 Jul 2007 1:56pm Shrig from United StatesThis is a beautiful shot. I love the light coming through the window and the moon. Really a great shot. 19 Jul 2007 2:38pm Images by KC Photography from Redmond, United StatesBeautiful capture! And like so many already commented, the moon and the lights below, really makes the mood of the picture I believe. 19 Jul 2007 2:40pm Anthony from Singapore, SingaporeWoh... i love the clouds around the moon...although seems small... 19 Jul 2007 3:12pm Seraphine from San Francisco, United StatesThe lighting is amazing. The selective details around the lighting makes a nice effect. It's a beautiful photograph. 19 Jul 2007 4:24pm Nick from Oxford, OH, United StatesBuilding lights at night in longer exposures are fun. You can almost never guess what you are going to get. I like what you got. Well composed. 19 Jul 2007 4:54pm MDM from Barcelona, SpainMe ha gustado mucho 2 is 1 - The Menu. En The Mansion & The Moon tanto la luna como las luces parecen fuegos, muy bonita luz. Saludos 19 Jul 2007 6:50pm ndiginiz from Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), New ZealandTena koe ehoa 19 Jul 2007 7:08pm Pere from SpainNice tone and perfect control of the lighting. I like especially the moon and the light inside the house. 19 Jul 2007 7:47pm Florian from Paris, FranceIt's an excellent idea to capture the three differents points of light, it's an answer for each other. 19 Jul 2007 10:40pm eydryan from Bucharest, Romaniadude while i find this shot ok, you should really try to integrate people in your photos, or some human element, because that's what made your wedding/people photos so good. give us someone smoking outside in the moonlight and it'll increase in value tenfold ;) sorry if i annoy you with my constant nagging dude but i mean well :) having said that keep up the good stuff and most of all enjoy ;) 19 Jul 2007 11:14pm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomBeautiful work H :) 20 Jul 2007 12:00am bronzebilly u.k. from cardiff, United Kingdomhey {H}--creative capture--nice mood --you've got a great perspective on this one even under those conditions--nice one--billy 20 Jul 2007 12:06am Rags from Plano, United StatesI admire you for being experimental.
