My Precious - Agape

My Dear Friends of the Inspiration Circle,

It is truly amazing the warmth of friendship that one can feel from this global community. It is with hope that one day I can have the opportunity to meet with each of you dear friends...either at the "AM3 Annual Global Conference" or when I come to visit you in your hometown as Jason suggested in my last post.

As I had mentioned, these last few weeks have been one of the most trying times in my life. It is difficult to express the depths of emotions that have come across. But one thing that anchors me is the beauty of love that is my daughter, Keshia Evangeline. As promised, I had taken Keshia to Disneyland for her birthday just a couple of weeks ago, albeit in the midst of the lowest point in my life. It was during this trip that something close to a comic [not cosmic] miracle happened.

The reason that it is comical is because of all of the times that this incident could have happened, it happened during one of the "bathroom breaks" at Disneyland. Upon completing her "business" at the stalls, my daughter looked me in the eye and suddenly spoke these words: "Daddy...Jesus says, I know what you know...I know." Keshia obviously knows nothing of the struggle that was in my heart, but yet out of the mouth of a babe these words came, as if it were a prophetic message of consolation...and an overwhelming sense of love - an agape love - poured into me, sustaining me, carrying me, telling me that I am not alone, as tears came down both my cheeks, right there in the bathroom stalls. God does have a sense of humor, doesn't he? B-)

Agape - it's the greek word often times equated to "unconditional love." Maybe one such as Dimitrios can elaborate on the true meaning of this word. B-) And truly, it is also a glimpse of "agape love" that I have received from all of you here in this community - a sense of comradery without condition. All of you have reached out your friendship, without wanting much in return but the satisfaction that comes from the act of befriending itself - no matter what our belief systems are, where we are in this globe, the color of our skin, or even the language that we speak...this is what I cherish most of AM3 [aside from the inspirational photos, of course]. So thank you, my dear AM3 friends...thank you for a piece of agape that you've extended.

Until next time....holding on to faith.

Cheers'nBlessings,
{H}
