Thank you so much for all of the lovely comments and encouragement on my last series on fatherhood. More importantly, I'm continued to be amazed by all of your creativity as I visit your p-blogs in return. Thanks for the inspiration!
I wasn't sure what to post next, but thought of a different theme altogether. And since marriage is a precursor to having children [supposedly - yes, I'm traditional that way] B-), I decided to post this.
This was taken from a wedding where my wife, daughter and I were guests at. Thought it was cute how they decided to make their "grand entry" as man and wife. She has a great expressive laugh, doesn't she?
So, next series: "Two Shall Become One - A Collection of Wedding Photographs." I welcome your comments and feedback [on techniques, etc]. I'm not a "wedding photographer" by trade, as Paul of "Levine" would call it in a comment in my previous post (Thanks for the encouragement, dude!) but am hoping [someday] to get out of corporate America to own a business, maybe in the field of event photography [or use it as supplemental income it does get expensive living in the Bay Area lol]. My brother-in-law is a pro wedding photographer, and he seems to be doing well in LA. B-)
Thanks again for dropping by. Cheers, everyone!
p.s. "Break It Down" in rapper's language means "to dance." [so someone told me - can anyone confirm?] B-)
The wedding couple shines in your stylish soft focus B&W shots.

I love how you captured this shot, great moment - the expression you captured in this photo was perfectly timed. I know its easy to miss out moments like this but you got it! Cool. Congrats. Love the DOF too man. Black and white removes the colour distractions. Well done! :) Creative you are, Henry.

@Scene by Sharon Photography: Hello Sharon...appreciate your comment. I need to work on marketing myself more...B-)
The groom succeeds in impressing the bride by imitating a toreador at the moment the bull just passes. Truly macho! I hope he will not think she laughs at him, because she isn't. Very pro action photo! I like the soft focus and the skewed angle and the B&W.
19 Jun 2007 11:42am

{H}, Thank for stopping by , Excellent mood and moment , b/w never fails for wedding shots. [On the flip side , watch your highlights especially between the two subjects , it's competing /taking away from the bride, try cooling down a bit by using the dodge and (burn) tool in PS . Again great shot.
